The ventilation was loud, but that's common in America.

Buffalo-Niagara was a real gem! The cozy vibes, artsy décor. Plus, with fantastic eats nearby like Bijou Grille and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, I indulged in some seriously delicious local bites! The well-equipped kitchen and free coffee made mornings easy. So much love for this place!
Sadly, the city shut down the hostel unexpectedly . It felt so wrong, especially for a place that welcomed us like family. It was shocking and disrespectful to the community. Even with that, the warmth of Buffalo shone through.

I loved checking out the art exhibit on my first night and watching the solar eclipse on the rooftop with fellow travelers. The chill-out room was perfect for winding down after a day of adventures, and the TV area was a fun way to catch up on some shows. The only bummer was the lack of privacy in the showers. it would’ve been nice to have actual doors instead of curtains. 😊

The kids loved the spacious rec room in the basement with games and a TV. The kitchen was a huge plus for family meals.
My wife says that having more bathroom amenities would make it better for families with kids.

Just a good pick for a momentary pause in Buffalo with best value for money ratio. The staff were friendly and made me feel at home during my short stay. Bring your own shower curtain if privacy is a concern.

The location of the hostel was excellent, right in the center on one of the main streets. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay more enjoyable. The bathrooms were well-maintained and exceptional. the hostel met my expectations.
The room I stayed in was quite cramped, and the fact that I was the only girl among a group of mostly older men made me feel uncomfortable. The lack of staff presence at the reception meant there was nobody to talk to or address any concerns.

The hostel has a good spirit and you can feel the culture and enjoy the arts, just like in hostels in large city downtowns. The large social areas, like the kitchen-lounge, TV room, and meeting room, provided ample space for socializing. The staff was very helpful and friendly, making our stay more fun. The location couldn't be better, right in the center on one of the main streets.

I stayed at Hostel Buffalo-Niagara for a few nights during my solo trip to Buffalo. The location was great, close to the city center and convenient for exploring. As a young female traveler, I felt safe in the area. The bathroom was clean and the beds were comfortable. Despite the noise from the AC, it didn't bother me much. The hostel had a cool concert going on during my stay, adding to the overall charm of the place. It was a cute, affordable option that exceeded my expectations.
I recommend this hostel.

The location of the hostel is very convenient, especially if you're going to a concert next door. The hostel is also centrally located, close to Buffalo center and Niagara. The staff is cool and friendly, and the place has a lot of style with interesting memorabilia scattered around. The bathrooms are well-appointed and almost hotel-like, and the kitchen is spacious and well-stocked. The hostel is also clean and well-maintained.
There were a few maintenance issues during my visit, such as burners and an electric water heater being out of order.
